API5L Line Pipe Specification
Process performance:
1. Flattening test Electric welded steel pipe, continuous furnace welded steel pipe and laser welded steel pipe should be flattened test. Whether it is necessary for seamless steel pipe
Flattening test, not mentioned in the standard.
2. Bending test For steel pipes with a size of not more than 48.3mm, each batch of 25 tons or less than 25 tons is a batch, and for steel pipes with a size of 60.3mm
Each batch of 50 tons or less of 50 tons is a batch of steel pipes, and one steel pipe is selected from each batch to take a full-section sample of appropriate length for bending test.
Defect
1. The steel pipe shall not have a pit with a depth of more than 6.4mm. The depth of the pit shall refer to the lowest point of the depression and the extension of the original outline of the steel pipe.
distance between points. The length of the pit in any direction should not exceed half the diameter of the steel pipe.
2. All cracks, seepage and leakage shall be considered as defects
3. Any delamination or inclusions extending to the surface of the steel frame or the groove face shall be considered as a defect.
4. Any defect on the inner and outer surface of the steel pipe with a depth greater than 12.5% of the specified wall thickness of the steel pipe shall be regarded as a defect.
5. There should be no burrs on the outer edges of all steel pipe ends.
Disposal of defective steel pipes
1. Defects should be removed by grinding, and the grinding area should be smooth and excessive with the outline of the steel pipe. However, the depth of grinding should not exceed
Negative deviation as specified by the standard.
2. Within the length range specified by the standard, the defective pipe section should be cut off.
Pipe end treatment, coating and product identification
1. Unless otherwise stipulated in the purchaser's order contract, the flat-end steel pipe end should be beveled and blunt, and measured on the basis of the vertical axis of the steel pipe: the size of the blunt edge is 1.6mm ± 0.8mm.
For steel pipes with a size not larger than 60.3mm, the chamfering of the pipe ends should not exceed 1.6mm
2. Coating: selected by the manufacturer, if the contract requires coating, the coating should be dense, smooth and uniform.
